What the press have said
- Rob Hoyles, Motorcycle Racer on the GP RACER - Jul '07
"The GP Racer offers good grip and stability without being prone to heat cycles or suffering cold tear in the way an out-and-out race tyre does. We were really impressed with the level of feel from the front end under heavy braking with no cause for concern from the rear."
Rob Hoyles, Motorcycle Racer, Jul '07
- Alastair Fagan, Fast Bikes on the Qualifier RR - Jun '07
"The confidence to push hard was near instant and when the Qualifier RR was really tested, it offered consistent feedback."
Alastair Fagan, Fast Bikes, Jun '07
- Alastair Fagan, Fast Bikes on the GP Racer D209 - Jun '07
"As with the (Dunlop Qualifier) RR, the confidence to push came pretty swiftly, and the feeling you get from its track-focussed performance had me attacking every apex and asking a lot of the front end."
"The GP Racer is a great track day tyre."
Alastair Fagan, Fast Bikes, Jun '07
- Jon Pearson, SuperBike on the GP Racer D209 - Jun '07
"It inspires confidence in the edge grip, both on the front as you pile into corners, and on the rear as you power out of them."
"The new GP Racer D209 lasts too. There are a lot of tyres that perform well, but are unable to withstand the abuse from more than a couple of 20-minute track sessions and go off. The GP Racer D209 hangs onto its performance, feeling just as good lap after lap."
"We voted the (old) GP Racer D208 best for the track in last month's (track day tyre) test - and I rode even quicker and with more confidence on the new GP Racer D209. There's proof if you need it that the new stuff is better."
Jon Pearson, SuperBike, Jun '07
- Alastair Fagan, Fast Bikes on the GP RACER - Jun '07
"The confidence to push the GP Racer came pretty swiftly. The GP Racer's rigid carcass differentiates it from the road-biased feel of the Qualifier RR."
Alastair Fagan, Fast Bikes, Jun '07
- Michael Neeves, MCN on the Roadsmart - Jun '07
Testing the prototype Roadsmart at Mireval against Michelin Pilot Road 2, Bridgestone BT-021 and Metzeler Roadtec Z6
Talking about the Michelin, Bridgestone and Metzeler, "Out of all those the Michelin's much better in the wet than any of the others and on the dry track the Bridgestone's got it."
Then after riding on the ROADSMART, "On the wet track the Dunlop's actually two seconds faster than the Michelin. It gives much better grip, much better feel, and on the dry track it actually turns in quicker lap times than all the other tyres as well."

- Michael Neeves, MCN on the Qualifier RR - Mar '07
"The Qualifier RR is very, very good. The tyres warm up fast and give excellent grip, stability and feel."
Michael Neeves, MotorCycleNews.com, Mar '07
- Jon Pearson, SuperBike on the GP RACER - Mar '07
"The edge grip was the best thing. The GP Racer is consistent from the first lap to the tenth, no matter how much abuse I tried to hand out on a variety of different sports bikes."
Jon Pearson, SuperBike, Mar '07
- Michael Neeves, MCN on the GP RACER - Mar '07
"I tested the GP Racer on a 2007 R1 for almost half an hour on a hot track and you couldn't ask for more grip, feel or stability. There was no drop in grip and my wrists, arms and legs showed more signs of wear than the tyres!"
Michael Neeves, MCN, Mar '07
